Crispy tofu, braised in a sticky sauce, perfect with steamed rice or noodles.

Ingredients
-
450g tofu
- 1/2 cup potato starch (or cornflour)
-
1/2 cup Gotcha Good Sauce
- 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar or honey
- 1 cup water
- 2 spring onions
-
Oil for frying
Directions
Preheat oven to 200C Fan Bake.
Slice the tofu into centimeter thick slices and pat any excess water off with paper towel.
Heat a fry pan with about 0.5CM of oil to shallow fry over a medium high heat.
Coat the tofu slices in the potato starch.
Fry the slices of tofu in the oil for about 2 minutes on each side. Drain excess oil on a paper towel.
To a shallow casserole or a baking dish add the Gotcha, water, soy sauce and sugar and whisk to combine.
Place the tofu slices into the sauce so they are mostly submerged. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes or until the sauce is sticky and bubbling.
Garnish with spring onion, serve with steamed rice or noodles.
