Ingredients
-
250ml tomato juice
-
60ml vodka per serving (120ml total)
-
1 tbsp lemon juice
-
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
-
1 tsp hot sauce (or to taste)
-
½ tsp Baple Macon
-
Man Grind Flakes, to taste
-
Freshly cracked black pepper
-
2 slices streaky bacon, cooked until crispy
-
Celery sticks, for garnish
-
Cherry tomatoes, for garnish
-
Pickles, olives, or gherkins, for garnish
-
Lemon wedges, for garnish
-
Optional: cooked green beans or baby corn for extra wow
Directions
Cook the bacon until crispy and set aside. Keep it warm if you like, or simply use it as a garnish.
In a jug, combine the tomato juice, vodka, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, Baple Macon seasoning, Man Grind and cracked black pepper. Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed. You want it bold, smoky, slightly sweet and a little tangy.
Fill the glasses with ice and pour the Bloody Mary mixture over.
Garnish extravagantly with a strip of crispy bacon, a celery stick, cherry tomato, pickle, olive and lemon wedge, or go wild with extra veg like baby corn or green beans.
Serve immediately with a straw or cocktail stirrer. Bonus points for a playful drizzle of maple syrup over the top if you really want to lean into the Baple Macon vibe.
