Ingredients
-
1 tablespoon Steak Butter or Pasta Butter, or olive oil
-
6 pork sausages
-
1 cup diced leek or onion
-
½ cup white wine
-
500g fresh gnocchi
-
2 teaspoons French Kiss
-
1 teaspoon Man Grind Flakes
-
1 cup cream
-
1 handful green beans or broccoli, chopped
-
½ cup grated parmesan, plus extra to serve
Directions
Bring a large pot of salted water to the boil for the gnocchi.
Remove the sausage meat from the casings.
Heat a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the Steak Butter, Pasta Butter or olive oil. Add the sausage meat and leek or onion, then cook for 6–8 minutes, breaking up the sausage with a wooden spoon, until browned and cooked through.
Pour in the white wine and scrape up any golden bits from the bottom of the pan. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly reduced.
Meanwhile, cook the gnocchi according to the packet instructions. Drain and set aside.
Add the French Kiss Seasoning and Man Grind to the sausage mixture and stir to combine.
Pour in the cream and add the green beans or broccoli. Simmer for 4–5 minutes, until the sauce has thickened slightly and the vegetables are just tender.
Add the cooked gnocchi and parmesan, then gently stir until everything is coated in the sauce.
Serve immediately with extra parmesan sprinkled over the top.
Recipe Note
ADHD Version: Brown the sausage meat and leek in Steak Butter, Pasta Butter or olive oil. Deglaze with wine, then add French Kiss, cream and greens. Toss through cooked gnocchi and parmesan, then serve.
