Butter Crostini with Brie

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon Baple Macon
  • 1 baguette, sliced into 1โ€ฏcm rounds
  • 100g brie, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons chopped dried cranberries or cranberry jelly
  • Fresh thyme or toasted nuts to finish
  • Sweet Sesh (optional)

Directions

  1. Mix the butter, maple syrup, and Baple Macon rub together in a small bowl.
  2. Heat a large pan over medium heat. Brush both sides of each slice of bread with the maple butter, then toast in the pan until golden and crisp.
  3. While still warm, top each slice with a piece of good-quality, extra creamy brie. Let it soften slightly, or pop it in a low oven for a minute so it starts to ooze.
  4. Garnish with chopped cranberries or a dollop of cranberry jelly, then finish with a sprinkle of thyme.
  5. Serve warm or at room temperature. These festive bites are easy to make and disappear fast. Sweet, smoky, buttery bread topped with creamy brie โ€” simple, delicious and utterly irresistible.
